Hi there! I'm Kay and I'm so glad that you are here. I'm obsessed with my kids, husband and travel. Grab a cup of coffee and read the blog. Or if you're like me grab a margarita and stay a while.
I met Hanna & Dakota over a year ago, when Hanna inquired for couple photos. They were both wrapping up college & headed to California for their new jobs. She wanted photos of them in Oregon, to remind her of home.
Fast forward a year & I receive an email from Dakota, stating that he is planning on proposing to Hanna while they were visiting home in about a month. I legit cried, like sobbed my eyes out when he told me he was planning to propose. On top of it, it was a surprise proposal that he had planned out from the date, location, dinner place – he had it all figured out!
I asked my friend Chey, a videographer to make the journey with me to Canon Beach. To help hide & stalk them from a distance. We lost service when we got to Canon Beach which made this very exciting moment, stressful & full anxiety. Would we miss it? Would we be able to find them on the beach? Would we accidentally run into them & she’d know the gig was up?
THANKFULLY, none of that happened. Chey & I giggled, looking like complete crazy women, running the beach, stalking this couple from behind.
Hanna didn’t make it easy either, she kept turning around & looking behind her – terrified that she would recognize me, I kept spinning around like I was lost, I know someone was watching us & getting a kick out of it.
Dakota & I had came up with a signal, so that I would know when to move in & to let each other know, it was go time! He bent down to tie his shoe, our signal, I had never ran so fast on a beach, in my entire life.
Dakota talked for a minute, then got down on one knee & asked Hanna to spend the rest of her life with him – she of course said YES & the rest is history!
Congratulations my babes, I am so glad I was able to be there, to bear hug you minutes after & hold back tears while you gazed at your hand in awe.
LET’S GET YOU TWO MARRIED!
